Halq (Maltese for "mouth") started out as a challenge to step out of my comfort zone and create a humorous piece of work from a beautiful stone. At first, it was unthinkable, but when I saw this lemon quartz, I thought of a mouth crunching on it. Then several small mouths all around capturing their own stones.
